"Trolling is a method of fishing where one or more fishing lines, baited with lures or bait fish, are drawn through the water. This may be behind a moving boat, or by slowly winding the line in when fishing from a static position, or even sweeping the line from side-to-side, eg when fishing from a jetty. Trolling is used to catch pelagic fish such as salmon, mackerel and kingfish."

LOL @ people who pronounce it "troll" like "Troll Dolls" instead of "trawl".

Basically, 'Troll' is when someone says something ridiculous (bait) to see how many people they can (catch) trick into giving them a response.

e.g: "My Stock SR-20 is faster than your 1000hp RB-26"

"How the hell can it be faster!"

Trolled.

Oh now i get.

It seems as though alot of others dont get it either, because i see it used when it nothing to do with that meaning

When your talking about fishing - theres 'trolling' and 'trawling' - trolling is where you have lures out behind the boat - trawling is where you drag nets through the water.

But you pronounce them both the same way.
