  1. Hi guys I noticed last night that my left headlight was not working. The previous owner had done a HID conversion which was working fine until last night. I checked the fuse box in the engine bay and noticed that the 15A blue fuse for the left-hand headlight had blown. I replaced the fuse with a new 15A one and went to turn on the headlights and had the same issue with only the right side working. The newly installed 15A fuse had also blown. So I'm just wondering if it's more than likely the case that the HID ballast on the left side is causing the fuse to blow? Any input would be great. Fro what I can tell the HID ballasts seem to be wired directly to the battery
  2. Hi guys, I've got a few general questions that have been stressing me out like none other. I have a 2002, ADM 200SX S15. 120,000kms on it. Almost completely stock; dose pipe, exhaust and small boost increase. Problem 1 This one is really stressing me; Any time I put it into any gear, as I initially put it into gear and accelerate; I hear this odd rattling/grinding sound coming from near the front of the car but not as far front as the engine. This sound comes regardless of which gear I put it in and will only last maybe 3 seconds after I have just put it into gear and as soon as I accelerate a little. I have also noticed it lasts a little longer or comes back when I turn left and accelerate? I had the clutch replaced about 6 months ago to an excedy heavy duty, this sound has been coming for about 1-2 months maximum. Problem 2 There is a rattling sound that comes from the engine when I start the car cold. It completely goes away and doesn't come back if I put the car into gear and start moving. It also speeds up if I leave it in neutral and accelerate a little (before putting it in gear). This is been there for at least 6 months now. Any help on these issues would be hugeeeely appreciated, thanks heaps.

  4. MCA Gold Coilovers for S15 - 30,xxxx kms

Selling my beloved S15 MCA Gold series coiloverscheaper than the MCA Red series. The Golds are all custom hand made and designed for all road setups. Springs are King Springs, 400 lbs (7.1 kg) front and 325 lbs (5.8 kg) rear spring rate, linear springs. Only used for 30,xxx kms, daily for a year and then a weekend only car with the odd hill run. Not required yet but these can either be rebuilt at any motorcycle shop or at the MCA workshop in QLD. Car was defected so had to change back to stock and decided to save for an engine build. Has many adjustments for travel, castor (over 9 degrees each side), front camber, front toe, rebound and dampening. They can get very low but depends if you want to look cool or care about roll centre correction for handling. You can call Josh or Murray Coote for support on these from the MCA suspension website: https://mcasuspension.com/ Asking $2500 or near offer. Local pickup welcome from West of Adelaide or southern suburbs area. WILL POST FOR $50 ANYWHERE IN AU. Any questions, just ask. Cheers.

  8. Hi friends. I've been away from home for 2 years and my s15 has pretty much been sitting in a garage for that time. It was driven once briefly about 1 year ago. There is very little fuel left in the tank, almost empty. What should I do to get it road ready again? Oil + filter change? Fuel filter? Spark plugs? Any ideas would be appreciated.
  9. I'm thinking about getting wide body kit for my S15 and I got so many question about tires and wheels to match wide body. 1. Does wheels and tires get custom ordered for specific size? 2. If tires get custom ordered than how much more do they charge compare to pre-made? (%) I'm talking about wide tires I'm asking these question cause I want it super wide like +50mm

  12. Was looking at changing my diff after doing the RB box conversion as the RB box with the stock S15 3.69 ratios are a bit tall I understand that any R200 diff that has ABS should bolt in just fine. Was going to try and track down a 4.11 ratio ABS diff out of a R33 skyline. A workshop/wrecker is having a clear out this weekend that is close to me and is selling heaps of parts for only $10 gearboxes diffs panels etc. I noticed that there are 2 kinds of R200 a long nose and a short nose. I am pretty sure that I need a short nose but just wanted to see if anyone could confirm ? Cheers
  13. Having recently done a RB box conversion I am looking at doing a flex tune upgrade on my car in the not too distant future. Currently running a nistune with a set of nismo 740cc injectors and a walbro 460 Turbo setup is a precision HP5130 and I am running un1cams +springs Car is currently making 310hp @ the wheels on a "safe" 98 tune I know everyone is going to tell me to throw out the 740s and go top feed etc, however I was wondering if anyone on here has seen how far the Nismo 740s can be pushed on E85 with a bit of help from a fuel pressure regulator ? Not wanting to go top feed I guess the other option is to go some five O 1200cc side feeds which seem to work ok for the SR20 but are rubbish when it comes to RB engines. I'm thinking that Dose pipe might be the man with the most nistune flex experience who is active on the forums so any input would be appreciated

  16. 2001 ADM Nissan 200sx S15 Type S

ADM Nissan 2001 200sx Type S I'm looking to put my pride and joy up for sale. Had my fun and REALLY enjoyed the car for the 5.5 years I've had it. Trying to save some money and move to something a bit more basic (but still a little fun) to get around in. I've spent alot of time researching and typically used the highest quality workmanship and parts available to me at the time. I'm very big on doing things once and doing them 'right'. I've also focussed hard on making the car as legal and 'stealth' as possible. Car is my daily and has been the entire time I've owned it. I've set it up for daily/weekend/circuit/drift use. It's only done a Haunted Hills day as well as a handful of Motorkhana and Beginner drift days (Primal and Drift Skills). Car runs and drive fantastically. Slightly laboured when it's super cold. 1min warmup and it's good to go. Always taken care of and treated with the mechanical respect she deserves. Service every 3-5000kms depending on time and events. Always used premium full synth oil (10/10ths or Motul). Fuel filter also changed every service. Super responsive and very driveable setup. Full boost at 3600rpm. 'Only' running up to max 23 psi (tapers to 19psi) on e85, less on 98. Car makes 271rwkw on e85 which is what I put in it 99% of the time. Had full flex setup and runs fine on 98 just less power / response. Have a MASSIVE wad of receipts for pretty much everything I've ever purchased for the car. Will come with Rego till April 2016 and a Roadworthy Certificate. Exterior / Aesthetics: Genuine Work Motion CR Kai wheels (18x8.5 front and 18x9.5 rear. Great fitment, legal-ish, no rubbing or scraping at all) Vertex side skirts Vertex rear bar JDM fold in mirror JDM seats JDM dash JDM badging on car JDM steering wheel Pioneer bluetooth headunit, quite new, works well. Pioneer front split speakers Amp and quality sub in boot (all in a custom sub box that sits in the 'shelf' to take up minimal space. Also has quick release mount, power, speaker cables. Can be removed in ~1min, SUPER handy for track days.) Performance: SR20DET rebuilt / forged ~15,000kms ago (Built by Forced Motorworx) Forged pistons Forged rods New rings ACL race bearings Cometic head gasket ARP head studs Tomei Poncam (256) Performance valve springs Deustchwerks 950cc drop in injectors Walbro 460lph e85 compatible fuel pump Z32 AFM Nistune compatible flex sensor Nistune ecu with flex functionality Garret GTX2863R Kinugawa turbo actuator with 19psi spring Earls Braided turbo lines Standard airbox Custom intake to turbo (black) Havoc custom intercooler piping (legal, Blitz core) Unknown 3" dump / front pipe (seems 'fine') High flowing cat Havoc cat back custom 3" exhaust (tucks up nice and high for legal reasons) Greddy eboost II Profec Spec B boost controller Handling: Near new Yokohama AD08r tyres (235/40/18 front, 265/35/18 rear) - SUPER grippy! Shockworks coilovers SPL rear camber arms Tein strut brace Whiteline front and rear swaybars Drivetrain: Nismo 1.5 way GT Pro diff (4.11 ratio) R33 GTS-T gearbox (excellent condition, uses Engineered to Slide kit) NPC Heavy duty organic 10" RB25 clutch Braking: Slotted rear rotors and upgraded pads Slotted front rotors and upgraded pads I would be interested in trades plus cash my way but would have to be something interesting/fun/cheap for around 10k. Would consider something like: - e30 BMW (engine swapped?) - e36 BMW (engine swapped?) - VW Polo GTI - etc NOT interested at all in anything like: - Auto - Skyline - Silvia - Supra - Commodore - Falcon

  21. Hey guys, thought I'd start a build thread more for myself to keep track of my progress with the car and post results of mods verified at the track with times, dyno sheets etc. On the weekend I picked up a 100% stock (down to the headunit) S15 Spec S Silvia. I had a few specifications for the car when looking and they was that it had to be Blue, stock or as close to as possible, non-sunroof and straight. The car I picked is a one owner Blue, Spec S, automatic, Australian delivered 2002 S15. It has 180,000kms, the interior is in very good condition, the engine seems in good condition and the exterior is in average/good condition. I paid $8000 for the car however it is in Perth and I am in Adelaide so the car is currently on a truck on it's way here. The flights to Perth were $500 and the truck to get it here was $400. I bought the car from a 65 year old lady who was the first owner in 2002 and bought it as a midlife crisis (her explaination). I don't have any great photos of it but I will upload some as soon as it gets here and try to keep the thread updated as I do things to the car or as the car goes to the track. My plan for the car is to run a basic setup and try to get as much time out at the track as possible, the car will be used for grip and not drift so progress should be easy to see in the form of track times at my local track, Mallala. For now, here are some photos I have of the car that I got sent before I flew to Perth to view it.
  22. Hey guys, looking for a wingless boot for my yellow S15, I am located in Townsville, which I'm sure theres none here haha so willing to pay for postage if need be. Will also consider a non-yellow boot to repaint if the price is right Chris.
  23. G'day Guys!

G'day guys, Long time lurker, first time poster. All I can really say is "Wow." You have all unwittingly helped me an incredible amount with my car and I guess I'd just like to tender my sincerest thanks. The car feels so much better than I can even comprehend and I have all of you to thank for that! I don't know if I can ever repay the favour but I intend to spend quite some time trying to do just that. I'm really looking forward to being a more active part of the community and if I can give back even a small piece of what I have received I'll be stoked. In way of an introduction I've attached a couple of pics of my work in progress. She's not the quickest, that's for sure, but She sticks to the road like glue on a blanket and I couldn't be happier. The smile hasn't left my face in a year and a half. Thanks again, Alex
  24. Car is sold. Thank you all!
