  1. My S15 Autech

    Hi all, I thought it be fitting that my first post is a showcase on my S15 Autech. After deciding on what car I was after the next step was to look for it, unfortunately there was no s15's that met my criteria in Western Australia. So I looked else where, booked a ticket to Sydney and off I went. I inspected the car, bought it and then got it transported to Perth. Did a bit of touristy stuff in Sydney and the following day I was on my way back to Perth. Now it was time to wait for my car to arrive. A couple of weeks later the day had arrived, it was time to pick up the s15. Got my mate to take me to the logistics warehouse and on the drive back, she could see me smiling the entire drive back to my house. After a couple of months daily driving the car, the time had come to start getting the car ready to pass the pits so I could register it in Wa. For those unaware, because I've owned the car for less than a year, it need to pass inspection so it could be registered in Wa, that's the rules here. After my first go getting the car though pits, a few things needed to be changed. First off, the car needed to be raised to legal height, the wheels were to wide and was rubbing against the coilovers, inner-tie rod bushings needed replacing, rear aftermarket tail-lights needed proof that they compile with ADR, this was passed with a simple letter from the manufacture stating that it complies with the ADR and finally I need permits for my coilovers and stainless steal exhaust headers, which are factory however the inspector thought it would be wise to get it written down anyway. Second time past the pits and it passed. Great success! Next began the process of making the car how I want it. New radio, wheels, lights, Cube short shifter. It's my daily so I've kept it clean and enjoyable to drive. Not going for crazy power gains, can't really do much with the Autech engine anyway. Got a custom shift knob made from Billetworkz in America, can definitely recommend them if you're looking to improve your interior. That's about it for my s15. Thanks for reading! James,

  3. This car represents amazing value at $12,990. 2003 Nissan Stagea AXIS AUTECH, 2.5ltr V6 TURBO, tip tronic 5sp auto, All Wheel Drive (AWD), All Autech options. Engine Details in tabs at bottom are in-correct. - Engine - VQ25DET - Power - 209kW @ 6400rpm - Torque - 407Nm @ 3200rpm Complete Trasmission service with genuine nissan products - 21/02/2014 - Mechanic stated AT was in excellent condition. - New pads front and rear. - New front rotors. I have really enjoyed driving this car however it is now time to sell as I am moving overseas. This Nissan Stagea has a full service history available. Check out this well maintained car, always garaged and looked after meticulously. Genuine 120,00kms with the car having been in Australia over 2 years. Registration has been paid until January 2015. - The previous owner/importer of this vehicle had all the leather re-trimmed in a high quality off-white/ tan coloured leather which looks amazing compared to the factory trim. - GPS fixed to work in Australia along with translation of the computers menu from Japanese to English. - Reverse camera installed. - HKS coilovers fitted - Guards rolled. - Fibreglass reverse light covers (pictured) Regularly serviced, well looked after and will be extremely missed. Car: Nissan Silvia S15 (JDM Model) Year: 2000 Odometer: 145XXX km Engine: Autech SR20DE (200HP) Transmission: 6-speed manual (very smooth, no crunches) Rego: 1CLE514 (Registered in WA) Rego Expiry: In 1 month JDM model, imported in 2006 (by previous owner) Mechanically unmolested and drives perfect. Near-new tyres, heeps of tread. P plater friendly silvia. The Autech model runs the Spec S SR20DE engine however it has been modified by Autech to produce a total of 200hp (much more power than a normal SR20DE). This is through a different ECU tune, extractors, higher lift and duration cam shafts, sodium filled exhaust valves, higher compression ratio and a lighter flywheel. The panels are straight however paint isn't perfect, has a few marks/scratches/fade. Bottom of the front bar is cracked (plastic weld easily) and boot lid has rust around the deleted spoiler holes (easy fix, just replace bootlid as they're cheap enough and common in the pewter colour). Price is firm and reflects the condition of the car (mechanically perfect however requiring attention on the outside). As it is located in WA (Banjup, 6164), freight to the Eastern States can cost between $1000-$1500. I can reduce the price by $1000 if I keep the motor/gearbox/ecu/loom, so you can drop in a SR20DET if you want. Will leave radiator/hoses/PS-reservoir etc in the bay, literally just disconnect from the motor allowing you to plug and play a turbo motor. Therefore transporting interstate would be as a rolling shell with all the JDM goodies. That's $8000 for a fully complete JDM s15 just without running gear (wouldn't call it a shell as the interior and exterior will be 100% complete).
  5. Serviced my s15 autech today and the mechanic found a fault in the rear cross member on the drivers side which has made it hard to get a wheel alignment correct. Just wondering if the Spec R s15 has the same cross member or if there are any compatible options on any other s-chassis. Cheers

    Hey Guys, the names Myles, im 18 and im new to the forums. I currently have a MX83 Cressida and a RB20DET, but thinking of selling it all to get a S13 with a Autech SR20DE. Im sure i know a few of you from around the place, meets etc. im part of the Cars For Hope team so i attend most of the meetups and stuff, anyway looking forward to talking to everone and stuff, Thanks!   7. So i was on my way home from work, police going other way, lights go on, quick u-turn, pulled over for what they say was just for a random breath test. Nek Minnut, 3 defects, tail lights tinted (fair enough), rear wiper not on (fair enough) and pod filter exposed, (it was really boxed with a 3-4sq inch gap, which to him was unsatisfactory.) So i've fixed up the tail lights and wiper and i went to buy a stock airbox today from a wrecker, problem is i own an s15 autech (NA:SR20de) and Spec R (sr20det) boxes don't fit apparently, and s15 autech boxes are to even bother looking for. Question 1: Does anyone have an autech s15 airbox in Sydney? Question 2: Do na s13 and s14 airboxes fit on an autech s15? Question 3: If Yes to question 2, does anyone have an NA airbox for me to purchase? Question 4: Do K&N Apollo filters fit on an NA S15?
  8. so i have an autech s15 got the original autech extractors but with an after market hks exhaust system, now i used to have a cannon on the back but i got rid of that and put on a small tiny muffler thats the size of a 20 cent piece(no joke) yet the car sounds louder than when i had the cannon on, now i have asked wreckers about this when i went to go find some other parts for my car they suggested a full s14 stock exhaust system with the s14 extractors.. my question is why is it so loud even with a tiny muffler and would the s14 parts work ?

Hey Everyone, Been on here and JDMST for a while figured I should show you guys my bulid, hopefully you like it was SR20DET Auto then I switched it to SR20DE Manual plus a stack of other shit lol...here goes.......... JUST BEFORE A GOOD CLEAN CLEAN READY TO GO IN SOME DECENT GEARBOX OIL SR20DET REMOVED SR20DE JUST CHILLIN AFTER THE SWAP AND A WASH LOVE THIS PICTURE WOULD BE BETTER IF IT WAS TAKEN ON MY GOOD CAMERA NOT MY SHIT PHONE So I gave the bay a clean plus front strut brace, Alloy Overflow plus new pod filter and custom cover also a air guide just abovethe front bar Master Cyclinder died so replaced the whole lot Then I got Gktech Steering wheel Then made up a knob I got a 2 1/4 exhaust with cat and highflow muffler Ripped out some boot trim and installed the rear brace Then I got an ignition barrel light March 2012 (Want to do some serious upgrades, was starting to get bored with the car, was still in Year 12 :/ ) : Got some Front S14 lca's, uprights, hubs and calipers Then got a BM57 (1 1/16) off Manny 14mm Spacers Full set of S14 Stockies from a mate Got the front R32 GTR (Non-Brembo) Calipers and Rotors from Manny Rear R33 GTST Calipers, Rotors, Hubs and Handbrake Cables off some guy in smithfield Got my mate to make me my eagle adaprtor plate, just gotta drill the holes Chucked it all together Needed A Wheel Alignment Got a Subframe, removed bushes sanded it down then realised is was bent :/ Pretty much gave up on it Then got a toolbox Got some Kazama tie rod ends cause my front left one has a fair bit of play in it So, I got these cheap Then Yellow-Speed Coilovers came along This is apparently level -.- massive wheel gap up front, I need to get my guards rolled mainly at the rear so i can sack it all round\ Due to this So I got a guard roller and had a go at it Worked really well except we had to wind the coilovers back out because the guard roller was to big to fit in there. Plus the inside of the tyre had been rubbing as you can see in the image so we raised it up a bit so there was less camber, need to find a set of arms before I can slam it -.- Thanks to Jordy for letting me use his garage, was going to put it on his hoist but he already had his 1200 on it Makes working on any car a heap easier So got my Whiteline Sway Bars, forgot to post the front one ages ago, I won it in a Whiteline comp the rear I got off a mate So the Subframe was about to go off for powder coating and this is when I found out it had a slight bend in it plus some more rust... So I forgot about that one, was not going to bother with it anymore. Got another one, Non-Hicas off a mate so I can piss off this lock bar and Hicas tie rods that way I can run Toe rods, mate sand blasted it for me too Now I have to just get the time to take it down to be coated and decide on a final colour? Birthday is coming up soon, should be getting a full set of SPL arms and bushes. I got some mudguards off another mate dirt cheap gunna see how they look, not sure if they will suit with the current wheels maybe later on when I get some decent wheels. And I picked up this long block SR20DET came out of a mates S15, so I have two years to learn and build this once I finish off my subframe and adjustable arms and a whole heap of other stuff. Just couldn’t say no for the price... So I put the mudguards on, both front and rear Then I hunted down another Ca Lip and seen that I could put it on my SR Front bar Resprayed it in a flat back At Blaises (blaise_mx6) he owns that Z32 300ZX Then I started on my SPL adventure with some Solid Subframe Bushes Driving along my temp gauge went off, the temp was higher than usual the inline temp sensor was leaking -.- Pain in the ass so a GKTECH coolant neck spacer is on its way Got a hose kit seeing as I need to replace one. Another night I turn my lights on and one of the cluster globs died Have a whole set of leds coming Got an engine stand aswell So resprayed the subframe, primer, blue, more blue then more blue then a heap of clear Smashed out the old bushes, tried to put the new ones in had to use the vice as a press after freezing them :/ SPL bushes are pretty good the only issue I had was the rear two bushes would not clear the Toe Arm brackets so I shaved them down a little Waiting on Pete from JDM Obsession to get back to me about the SPL arms, can't wait till I get them Got a R200 off a mate, having a go shimming it my self pulled it down, more on this later Thinking about getting a half cage and putting it in with the trim in still like this... So I got a spare set of stock Rear LCAs of Jason, with this whole build I have tried to do as much bush removal myself with the help of mates but not taking it to a place to get done to keep costs down Tried to remove these tiny lca bushes was a prick at first but then we figured out a way Ball joints were easy So many ideas, burn it, drill out the center sleeve then burn it, in the end we got a tiny drill bit and drilled down the side got the jig saw in there cut out the center sleeve out and finally with a cold chisel, a 6 pound hammer and a lot of persistence smashed the outer sleeve away too. Sanded back, primer and some blue, still haven't put any clear on -.- SPL Arms arrived Got the R200 in the subframe! Never been happier to see a diff chillin in a subframe lol This thing put me through hell, I had this great idea I should shim it up as my current VLSD is so loose it is depressing in a SR20DE 180sx pretty much peg legging everywhere -.- So I followed a guide and ripped it down, added an extra 0.80mm shim from Nissan parts no. 38424-40F60 assembled it then went to go drop the center in, that was a c!@t then I bent a shim being rough so I dropped it off at bears in st marys he adjusted the back lash and did me a new shim Sits pretty neat, shame GKTECH haven't made some 180SX/S13 diff covers. Then that went in So, LCA's have new Super Pro bushes and new OEM Replica Ball joints pressed in, eventually going to get some SPL Rear Knuckle Bushes and Lockout kit ten fit the Lca's all at the same time But for now, my speedo was about 10% out so I purchased a Jaycar build it yourself kit, assembly was easy but install and setup was a pain because I snapped the LED off at 3am trying to install it because I really wanted it done, missus was ready to kill me :/ lol but all is good now Then I wanted more low to fill up the front guards so some mates and I lowered it Looks heaps better could go some more in the rear, in the end the front is still going to need a tad larger profile but meh for now plus I got Martin at Ground Zero to tint it, looks sick he did an awesome job at an awesome price, recommend him to everyone plus spaced the hood So this is how it stands at the moment, pretty happy besides the shocking front castor needs another wheel alignment asap bad -.- So I am about half way saving for rego, thinking about HIDS still dunno if I should go 3000k or 6000k?     Hello to my fellow silvia friends, I'm meant to be studying but i thought I'd do something more useful such as a little thread on my car! The Story: Basically started to work with my father and help him out with our family business, saved up as much as i possibly could and purchased with the help of my dad a S15 To be honest i was heading in the direction of Type R's and Sr20ve's but i wanted to "stand out from the crowd". When i purchased the car, i must admit it wasn't at its full potentional.. the tyres were bold, hadn't been moved in 3 months.. my friends basically thought the car was a piece of ****. It was my mind set goal to actually build up the car to its full potential (which i still haven't succeeded) What I've done so far: Sprayed rims black (Got rid of them) Koya rg tek rims 225 front 235 back Adjustable coilovers (came with car) Full 2.5" annoying exhaust (needs better resonator) Slotted Rota disks front/rear Sprayed calipers (extra 25kw) Kenwood touch screen/system LED Tailights What i plan/wish to do: Give the car more power (impossible) Respray the whole car with a complete Aero body kit (pods,skirts, bar) New coilovers Suspension mods Stance it out Window visors/Rear Change the plates Photos: When i first bought it! notice the queen st sticker lol Most recent post with new shoes! Tailights, annoying twin tip LOL getting a wash I appreciate any positive or negative comments about my car, it gives me the motivation to fix things or add new things the car has been modified to my personal liking so far!   11. Hey guys recently posted about this last week, just updating it. Need your opinion on this: Spent 1k on a stupid noisy exhaust with a hotdog resonator 2.5" (i dont even know if it is because they're dumb) should i go back and change things up or not bother? OR Waste more money and fix the mistake i made and buy a brand new proper silent exhaust, I'm after a jdm cannon with a big resonator. Problem is there is no real market for s15 NA's when it comes to exhausts (correct me if I'm wrong) and i really cant be bothered importing. Does anyone here know a business that supplies and does what i'm looking for? Get back to me guys, thanks heaps!

    Hey guys,It's been probably 2 months since I've purchased my Autech Since i have bought the car i have: -Changed the sparks and leads (top gun 8.8mm) -New Kuhmo tyres -Recently just put a stainless steel 2.5inch cat back exhaust, went for a different stealthier look with dual tip! It's basically my mission to return the car back to it's full potential, at the moment it's good but not perfect. I'm going to post a few photo's and a quick question, one of the photo's will be of my adjustables and also the rims! I have no idea what brand they are, please if anyone knows let me know!! much appreciated. Also am interested in a sort of cold air intake but stock looking, if anyone has any idea's give me your thoughts, thanks Most recent photo, with the new exhaust - tell me what you think! The rims still clueless, in what they are! Engine bay I have no clue what brand it is.. Let me know It's a bit naked and need's its badge. Should i buy a stick on one, or the original with clips? Please let me know what you guys think, your feed back is much appreciated! Let me know what i should do with the cold air intake and whatever else i have asked above!
  15. Hey guys, new to the forum and new to owning a silvia! need a bit of help of what exhaust is best suitable for my car. Autech's are known to be extremely loud (well mine is) and my factory exhaust has cracked! I want the right suitable full exhaust size right to the tip, and of course for it not to be loud, to be stealthy, and suitable for the car power and so on. If you guys have any suggestions, your help would be much appreciated! Especially anyone who has had experience with this sort of silvia, thanks heaps!

    Hey guys, I'm looking to get a more daily drive friendly diff for my s15 autech. It currently has a 1.5 way (bitch in car parks), which i am selling to a mate (sorry guys), and i'm looking to put a diff in which will reflect that of one which came stock with the car. I do not know a great deal about differentials so i have come here for some advice, what sort of differential should i be looking to replace the 1.5way with and where could i buy one of these in the Sydney area?     Hey guys just got my p plate liscence, and bought myself an s15 autech (SR20DE)- CHEERING! Came with a kazz 1.5way LSD Having troubles when i am taking 90 degree turns- come to a T road and go Left or Right- my rear wheels drag along the ground. Is there anyway to stop it from doing this, I.E. accelerating more while taking these turns. Or alternatively, how much and where can i buy a normal diff cost which will eliminate this aspect as i do not intend to use this car to drift- (Saving for a s13 as a project car for that).     Hey guys, I've been around the place here & there for quite a few months, thought it's time I decided to make an account and post a bit about my car. -- Freshly imported 2000 S15 Autech from Osaka Japan. Bought the car at 30,208KM's, it now only reads 35,XXX. I have had the car for approx 6 months now. The KMs doesn't sound or seem legit for a 12 year old car, however the wear and tear, or no tear I should say, and the engine and engine surroundings reflect this. This photo was about two weeks ago, after just a simple wash. -- Since I bought the car, I've equipped a high end alarm system, ripped out the Jap head unit, wiring, & processor, installed complete Type R speaker system with Amps, Pioneer double din, new Toyo's all round, & a few minor things. Now that I have a bit more cash, I've got a crazy list of mods to come. In a few months time, I'll be building a monster SR20 to swap with the Autech engine (If you're interested in an Autech engine virtually almost brand new, inbox).

    Hi guys, I did a couple of quick searches and couldn't find anything quite like this (it may have been a while ago if there is). Anyway, I'm just wondering peoples opinions on the current market of S15 Autech's. I am trying to sell mine as I have now got 2 cars and don't really have the room and could use the money elsewhere. Here is the current carsales add for my car >> link I also have it posted on here at a cheaper price >> link I have had it on the market for a few months now, and had a high price on the it to begin with as I wasn't quite ready to sell and wanted to start advertising. I think the price on it now is reasonable, and I am still a little negotiable, but I have had nothing but low ball offers with the best being about 17k, and them not showing anyway. Can you guys give me some feedback please. Am I asking too much? Thanks guys, Tim
